Your questions

Why stainless steel and glass?

Plastic in food contact: what are the real risks?

Plastic is never inert. Over time, under the effect of fats or food acidity, it releases microplastics and toxic chemical additives.

While Bisphenol A (BPA) is now banned, the industry has massively replaced it with other additives like Bisphenol S (BPS). Yet the scientific community is already raising the alarm: BPS is a major endocrine disruptor now classified as a probable carcinogen. Using a "BPA-free" plastic container simply shifts the problem without solving it.

In contrast, food-grade stainless steel A2 (type 304) and glass are noble and inherently inert materials. Perfectly resistant to corrosion and highly stable — even at high temperatures — they transfer no chemical molecules. It's no coincidence that stainless steel is widely used in catering and professional equipment. You guarantee your customers total product integrity and uncompromising food safety.

Why stainless steel and glass rather than other materials?

Food-grade stainless steel (304 / A2) and glass are the two benchmark materials for food contact. Chemically stable beyond 300°C, they retain no odors, and withstand repeated professional dishwasher cycles without degrading.

Plastic also poses an appearance problem: its polymer nature is very sensitive to friction, which generates static electricity. This attracts and holds product dust, quickly giving dispensers a "dirty" or neglected appearance. Stainless steel and glass don't retain these particles, guaranteeing a clean and bright retail shelf.

Unlike plexiglass, stainless steel and glass don't yellow over time — essential properties for equipment designed to last several decades!

How are the silos and containers cleaned?

This is one of the key differentiating features: all components are compatible with professional dishwashers. Designed to wash 2 complete silos or 2 containers simultaneously in a standard 50 × 50 cm basket. The high-temperature cycle (85–100°C) ensures impeccable sterilization in record time — impossible to achieve with manual cleaning.

The silo disassembles in seconds: the dispensing hatch, dispenser module, stainless steel lid. Each part goes through the dishwasher and reassembles just as quickly.

Is the equipment really solid and durable?

The robustness of our equipment relies on the near-exclusive use of 304 stainless steel (or A2). This professional-grade material is acclaimed for its extreme corrosion resistance and total inertness (inert material), guaranteeing optimal food safety.

Stainless steel is a noble material, recognized for being infinitely recyclable without alteration of its mechanical properties. Choosing stainless steel means investing in a durable and valuable asset, unlike plastic alternatives.

Designed for intensive use, our silos installed since 2021 are as good as new and prove their longevity. True to our commitment against planned obsolescence, we ensure the repairability of the system: every part is individually replaceable.

Is the investment worthwhile compared to cheaper alternatives?

Choosing plastic equipment may seem economical in the short term, but it generates significant hidden costs. Between yellowing, scratches and mechanical wear, a standard dispenser needs replacing every 5 to 7 years. Over 15 years, that means 2 to 3 complete replacement cycles.

In contrast, our stainless steel and glass solutions are designed for an operational lifespan of more than 30 years. Thanks to this exceptional longevity and the absence of replacement costs, your equipment is paid off in less than 10 years, while remaining 100% valuable and recyclable at end of life.

Beyond the financial aspect, the premium design of stainless steel strengthens the image of your business and reassures your customers about hygiene. A high-quality bulk section increases the attractiveness of the aisle, fosters loyalty and maximizes your revenue per square meter.

How is this equipment specifically designed for the retailer's daily routine?

We designed our silos to eliminate the logistical friction that weighs on your profitability. Filling is done without a funnel thanks to a large opening, avoiding tedious and time-consuming handling.

Handling is made easier by the integration of two ergonomic handles, ensuring a stable and secure grip, reducing fatigue and the risk of dropping. Finally, cleaning and handling are optimized: using our silos allows you to save an average of 2 min 30 sec per silo per week.

For a shelf of 40 silos, that's more than 1h30 of work recovered each week, which you can devote to more rewarding tasks such as customer advice and sales...

How does Vrac Attitude prevent product loss and waste?

In a conventional system, the customer often has to juggle: one hand to operate the handle, the other to hold the container. Between the weight of the product catching them off guard and the instability of the container, floor spills are frequent.

With La Vrac Attitude, the customer places their container on the dispenser and holds it with both hands. They push the drawer with more or less amplitude to serve themselves. They have precise control over the flow. It's a natural, reassuring and perfectly hygienic action since the customer never comes into contact with the silo.

Furthermore, our anti-overflow system stops the flow as soon as the container is full. Result: zero product loss, a floor that stays clean and a preserved margin!

What types of stainless steel are used in food service?

In the world of food service, there are two main types of stainless steel: 430 and 304 (or A2). Type 430 steel is primarily used for simple furniture or shelving, as it is more susceptible to corrosion in demanding environments.

For cooking equipment and hot or humid environments, type 304 steel is preferred. Its austenitic structure is characterized by a very low carbon content (<0.1%), guaranteeing far superior durability and oxidation resistance.

You can verify the quality of your steel with a simple magnet. If it doesn't stick, it's a higher-quality stainless steel (type 304). This is why we use exclusively 304 stainless steel (A2) in our products.
